Ingredients

  • 500g lean turkey breast, ground or diced
  • 200g cooked quinoa
  • 150g zucchini, finely diced
  • 100g green beans, trimmed and chopped
  • 100g spinach, chopped
  • 1 tsp calcium carbonate (or 2 tsp eggshell powder)
  • 1 tsp fish oil (added after cooking)
  • 1/4 tsp iodized salt

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey breast thoroughly until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Drain any excess fat. Let cool.
  2. Cook quinoa according to package directions. Fluff with a fork and set aside to cool.
  3. Steam or lightly boil the zucchini and green beans until tender but not mushy. about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Lightly steam the spinach until just wilted. about 2 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked turkey, quinoa, zucchini, green beans, and spinach. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Add iodized salt and mix well.
  7. Portion into daily serving sizes based on your pet's target weight. Refrigerate or freeze immediately.
  8. Just before serving, add the calcium supplement and fish oil. Stir well.
  9. Serve at room temperature. For cats, consider blending to a pâté-like texture.
