Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground bison
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup chopped collard greens
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp calcium carbonate
  • 200 IU vitamin E
  • 500 mg glucosamine sulfate

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Brown ground bison in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain any excess liquid (bison is very lean).
  2. Add diced sweet potatoes and 1.5 cups water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add collard greens and cook for 5 more minutes until tender.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in coconut oil, calcium carbonate, vitamin E, and glucosamine.
  5. Cool completely. Portion into daily servings. Refrigerate up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.
