🧊 Safety & Storage
Store in refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen portions in refrigerator overnight, never at room temperature. Discard any uneaten food left out for more than 2 hours. Wash hands and all surfaces thoroughly after handling raw duck. Transition to this new food gradually over 7-10 days by mixing with current food in increasing ratios.
⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning
Do not substitute chicken or beef for duck without recalculating amino acid profiles—common proteins may trigger the same allergies this recipe avoids. Do not replace butternut squash with white potato without adjusting carbohydrate calculations. Omitting or reducing bone meal or calcium supplementation will create dangerous calcium-phosphorus imbalance leading to bone disease. Do not use onion, garlic, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, or xylitol-containing ingredients as these are toxic to dogs.
