This recipe is high in animal-based protein (48% DM) with moderate fat content, appropriate for adult cats. The moisture content supports urinary tract health. Omega-3 fatty acids from sardines promote skin and coat health. Note: calcium levels are slightly below ideal for long-term feeding—supplementation is essential if this recipe comprises more than 25% of daily intake. This recipe is best used as a meal topper or intermittent meal, not as a sole diet without veterinary nutritionist oversight.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze individual portions in ice cube trays for up to 2 months. Thaw frozen portions in refrigerator overnight. Never leave at room temperature for more than 30 minutes. Always use fresh, clean utensils when handling. Discard any uneaten food after 2 hours at room temperature.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do NOT substitute tuna with albacore (too high in mercury). Do NOT replace sardines with other fish without adjusting omega-3 content. Do NOT omit taurine—deficiency causes blindness and heart failure in cats. Do NOT use onion, garlic, or chives (toxic to cats). Do NOT use pumpkin pie filling (contains toxic spices). Do NOT skip calcium supplementation for long-term feeding—meat-only diets cause bone disease.
