This recipe provides excellent omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) from salmon for skin and coat health. Sweet potato delivers beta-carotene and fiber. The 1.3:1 calcium-phosphorus ratio meets adult dog requirements. Protein is moderate and appropriate for maintenance. Vitamin E acts as antioxidant and supports skin health. This is a complementary food—consult your veterinarian about complete nutritional adequacy for long-term feeding.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 4 days. Freeze portions in ice cube trays or small containers for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in refrigerator. Never leave at room temperature over 2 hours. Discard any uneaten food after 30 minutes. Always use fresh, human-grade ingredients and wash all produce thoroughly.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do not substitute salmon with raw fish (parasite risk) or farmed salmon with high contaminant levels. Avoid replacing sweet potato with white potato (different glycemic impact). Do not omit calcium supplement—this recipe is calcium-deficient without it. Onion, garlic, grapes, and xylitol are toxic to dogs and must never be added.
