Puppy Growth Formula
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 2 cups brown rice
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped green beans
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups water
- 1 large egg (cooked, mashed)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cook the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
- In a large pot, combine the cooked turkey, brown rice, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Add the chopped carrots and green beans to the pot. Continue simmering for an additional 15 minutes until vegetables are tender and rice is fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped spinach, allowing it to wilt from the residual heat.
- Add the olive oil and mashed egg, stirring thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely to room temperature before serving. Divide into portions and store appropriately.

🧊 Safety & Storage
Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen portions overnight in the refrigerator. Never microwave directly from frozen. Discard any uneaten food left out for more than 2 hours. Always wash hands and surfaces thoroughly after handling raw meat. Transition to new food gradually over 7-10 days by mixing with current food.
⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning
Do not substitute calcium carbonate with bone meal or eggshell powder without veterinary guidance, as calcium-to-phosphorus ratios are critical for puppy skeletal development and imbalances can cause serious growth abnormalities. Avoid substituting turkey with fattier meats like lamb or beef without adjusting quantities, as excess fat can lead to rapid growth rates harmful to developing joints. Do not omit the calcium supplement under any circumstances.
