Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground pork
  • 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)
  • 2 medium carrots, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup chopped green beans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp calcium carbonate
  • 200 IU vitamin E

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Brown ground pork in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add 2 cups water and bring to a simmer. Stir in rolled oats and reduce heat to low.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid.
  4. Add grated carrots and green beans. Cook for 5 more minutes until vegetables are tender.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in olive oil, calcium carbonate, and vitamin E.
  6. Cool completely. Portion into daily servings. Refrigerate up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.
