💊 Required Supplements
Per batch (approximately 3 lbs of prepared food): Add 2000mg taurine powder (essential for heart and eye health in cats), 500mg calcium carbonate powder for proper bone development, 100mg dry vitamin E powder, 25mg B-complex vitamin tablet (crushed), 1 tsp iodized salt, 50mg zinc supplement, and 5mg iron supplement. These supplements are NON-NEGOTIABLE for kitten development — omitting any of these will result in potentially life-threatening nutritional deficiencies. Consult your veterinarian before making any adjustments.

🧊 Safety & Storage
Store fresh portions in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze individual daily portions in ice cube trays or small containers for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen portions overnight in the refrigerator — never microwave, as this creates dangerous hot spots. Always serve at room temperature or slightly warm. Discard any uneaten food left out for more than 30 minutes. Wash all preparation surfaces, utensils, and your hands thoroughly with hot soapy water before and after handling raw meat. Keep raw ingredients refrigerated at 40°F or below until preparation time.
⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning
Do NOT substitute the taurine supplement — cats cannot synthesize adequate taurine and deficiency causes blindness and fatal heart disease. Do not replace chicken liver with other organ meats without veterinary guidance, as liver provides critical vitamin A and iron. Avoid using onion, garlic, grapes, raisins, chocolate, or xylitol in any variation, as these are toxic to cats. Do not use dog vitamin supplements for cats, as the nutrient requirements differ significantly. Any ingredient substitution should be discussed with a veterinary nutritionist to avoid creating dangerous nutritional imbalances.
