  • 5mg vitamin B complex (use feline-specific formula)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Simmer chicken liver in separate pot until cooked through, about 10 minutes
  3. Hard boil egg, discard white and reserve yolk
  4. Allow all cooked ingredients to cool to room temperature
  5. Finely chop or pulse chicken thigh and liver in food processor to minced consistency
  6. Mash egg yolk and mix with salmon oil and water/broth
  7. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, add taurine, calcium carbonate, vitamin E, and B complex
  8. Mix thoroughly until uniform consistency is achieved
  9. Portion into daily servings and refrigerate immediately

💊 Required Supplements

Add per batch: 200mg taurine powder (essential for cardiac and retinal health), 500mg calcium carbonate (bone development), 100 IU vitamin E (antioxidant support), 5mg feline B complex (metabolic support). Do not substitute taurine dosage - deficiency causes blindness and heart failure in cats.

This recipe meets AAFCO nutrient profiles for growth and reproduction in cats when supplements are included at specified dosages. High protein content supports rapid kitten development, while controlled calcium:phosphorus ratio promotes proper bone formation. The 53% protein DM and 20% fat DM are appropriate for growing kittens requiring dense energy. Note: This recipe is intended for short-term use or as a base recipe to be refined with veterinary nutritionist guidance for long-term feeding.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Store in airtight containers in refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze individual portions for up to 2 months. Thaw frozen portions overnight in refrigerator. Never leave at room temperature over 2 hours. Always use fresh chicken liver - no other organ meats without recipe adjustment. Discard any uneaten food after 30 minutes at room temperature.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do NOT substitute beef liver for chicken liver without adjusting vitamin A levels. Do NOT use onion, garlic, or chives - toxic to cats. Do NOT replace salmon oil with plant-based oils. Do NOT omit taurine - cats cannot synthesize this amino acid. Any protein source changes require complete recalculation of calcium:phosphorus ratios.
