This recipe provides balanced nutrition for senior dogs with digestive sensitivity. The high fiber content from pumpkin and sweet potato supports healthy digestion and stool formation. Moderate protein from lean beef maintains muscle mass while being easy to digest. The controlled fat content reduces strain on aging organs. Added calcium supports bone density in senior dogs, while omega-3s from fish oil promote coat health and reduce inflammation. The 1.3:1 calcium-to-phosphorus ratio meets senior dog requirements.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Store in airtight containers in refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Always serve at room temperature. Discard any food left out for more than 2 hours. Wash hands and all utensils after handling.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do NOT substitute pumpkin with pumpkin pie filling (contains toxic xylitol and spices). Do not replace beef with higher fat cuts as this may trigger pancreatitis in senior dogs. Avoid onion, garlic, grapes, raisins, macadamia nuts, chocolate, or xylitol in any variation. Sweet potato cannot be replaced with white potato due to different glycemic impact. Consult your veterinarian before adding any new ingredients.
